Make the letters count.

Start with the wheel

1. Connect the letter tiles in order to make a word. Lift your finger to submit it.
2. Every counted word has at least three letters. Use each tile once per word. A repeated letter needs another tile showing that letter.
3. Fill the crossword and any required words shown to finish the puzzle. Accepted words outside the required answers go into your bonus list.

Longer accepted words earn more points. A word earns its reward once; submitting it again does not add points. The theme gives the puzzle its setting, and the board may also use everyday words or proper names.

Shuffle rearranges the same letters. Hints reveal letters; check the cost shown before using one.

Play your way

Open Settings to turn Sound effects and Vibration on or off. Turn on Tap letters to select to use the Submit and Clear buttons instead of drawing a path.

A daily reminder is optional. Its notification permission is controlled by iOS Settings. The game's animated effects follow your iOS Reduce Motion setting.

Daily puzzles & collections

A published daily puzzle belongs to its date in UTC. Solve a word crossing the moving star's square to collect it. Collected stars build the month's picture collection.

An unfinished daily remains attached to its original date and month. If a new date has no published board yet, check again later. Available installed puzzles can still be played without joining online teams.

Rewards shows gifts, goals, collections and activities. Events show separate earning and claim deadlines. Claim eligible rewards before the displayed deadline.

During a featured portrait collection, marked campaign squares give collection tokens. Open packs with that event's tokens. Duplicate pieces work toward a missing piece, and collected pieces remain when the same theme returns.

Tournaments & teams

Online tournaments need a connection and use the event's assigned puzzle route. The event tells you when enrollment and play close. Campaign points and tournament stars are separate scores.

A milestone premium purchase applies to the event named at checkout. It unlocks that event's premium rewards and increases tokens from later eligible completions in the same event.

In team chat, open the three-dot action button beside another player's message to choose Report message and a reason, or Block player. Wait for the game to confirm that your report was received. For a concern that needs more context, contact support with the team name, approximate time and what happened.

Add friends & compare points

Open Friends in online play to see your friend code or enter someone else's code. A connection begins with a request and becomes mutual when the recipient accepts it. You can decline incoming requests or cancel requests waiting for a reply.

Friend rankings compare your own points with mutually accepted friends for This month or All time. Share your code with people you want to connect with. Friendship does not share your personal cloud save.

Open the three-dot action button beside a friend's ranking row to choose Remove friend or Block player. Both remove the friend connection; blocking also prevents new friend requests between those accounts. To change a block, find Blocked players in Friends and choose Unblock.

Purchases, restores & reward videos

Apple handles App Store payments. Open the game's Store and choose Restore Purchases to check eligible purchases using the Apple Account that bought them. Consumable coins and hints cannot be restored after they are spent. See Apple's purchase help.

If a purchase is awaiting approval or its reward has not saved, reopen the game when connected. If it remains missing, contact support with the product name and approximate purchase time. Apple handles refund requests.

Ad removal covers banners and ads between puzzles. Optional reward videos remain available when offered. A reward is granted when the ad service confirms that it was earned; closing a video alone does not grant it.

Where Google requires privacy options, the Store shows Privacy choices to revisit the ad privacy form. Read more in the privacy policy.

Tell us what needs attention

Email support@runewords.online and put Capitol Words in the subject. The game's publisher handles player support and community concerns through this inbox.

• For a puzzle: its title, ID, revision, level or daily date, the word involved, and what you expected.
• For an app problem: device model, iOS version, app version and a short description.
• For an online issue: your player ID if the game shows one, the team or event name, and the approximate time.
• For a missing purchase: product name and approximate purchase time.
• A screenshot can help explain a visual issue. Remove other people's private information first.

Keep passwords, full Apple Account details and payment-card numbers out of support messages.

Personal cloud saves & optional Apple recovery

The game saves progress on this device. Its online service also supports a personal cloud backup for your game account. Where the Account controls are available, Save progress sends a chosen save to that account and Check latest backup retrieves its latest saved copy. Rely on a backup only after the game confirms that saving succeeded.

Optional Sign in with Apple can connect an existing game account to your Apple identity. Recover saved game opens the account associated with that Apple identity; restoring its backup is a separate choice. Connecting with Apple does not automatically upload your latest game or restore progress after reinstalling.

Saving, restoring and recovery may be unavailable in this version. If their controls are disabled, keep the current installation and contact support before changing devices or removing the app. An anonymous account alone does not guarantee recovery. A newer save from another device must be checked before replacing it. Online tournament scores and reward eligibility remain with the game service. Read the cloud-save privacy details.

Delete an account

Open Settings > Account & saved game > Delete account. Check the account shown and confirm Delete account and game data to delete it permanently. For a guest account, this deletes the account currently open in the game. For an Apple-linked account, continue with the same Apple Account when asked to verify ownership and authorize deletion.

If the game shows deletion is still in progress, reconnect and choose Finish account deletion when offered. Play and purchases remain paused until it finishes. If the online account is deleted but this device still needs to clear its saved game, retry that step too. Wait for confirmed completion, then choose Start new game only if you want a fresh game.

The deleted account's balances and purchase benefits do not automatically transfer to a new account. A limited completion record and coded purchase or reward references remain to prevent the same purchase or reward from being used twice; they do not keep your display name, region, saved progress or chat.

Read the full deletion guide, including help with an interrupted request. If you cannot use the affected device, contact support. An email request is not immediate deletion. Apple purchase records and device backups follow their separate processes.

Game Center rankings & achievements

Open Game Center from Home or Settings and choose Connect to Game Center. The campaign leaderboard counts completed campaign puzzles. Achievements mark your first, tenth, hundredth and thousandth campaign completions. Daily puzzles and practice replays do not add another campaign completion.

Choose Open Game Center to view Apple's rankings and achievements, or Update progress to retry a failed report. Stop sharing progress stops new reports from this installation; previously reported results remain with Apple. To save or recover your game, use Account & saved game.
